I think the version you saw that Netflix has must be fairly different 
from the version Packard manufactured and distributed himself.  That 
version has an entire mattress commercial with Joey Heatherton and a 
rather funny Tony Curtis intro wherein every time Curtis was saying 
some other director's name a dubbed voice overlays "Packard" in on top.

Also interspersed are bits and pieces from various ABC TV movies.  It 
sounds to me that your version may have been edited, and all those 
pieces were taken out?  It's even possible he did it himself to avoid 
copyright issues.  I'm in email contact with Packard, and can ask him.
