Oh, good point, forgot about that!  Something tells me this isn't the  
way it's working with this device, though.  Here's more I learned

Sounds fishy from all corners to me.  I don't think anyone at my  
school actually knows what the thing is or what it does.  More info  
as I learn , if anyone is interested.

For a University it IS Fair Use, and this notion of paying  
distributors for the "window" of time the film is used sounds VERY  
suspicious to me.  As it is, I can screen the film for an audience of  
students as part of my curriculum with no problem.  Why would a copy  
at the school's library, also on reserve for my class, be a different  
case?  This question is, of course rhetorical; maybe I'll soon know  
what they think the answer is.
