Here's a fascinating webpage by JD Lasica who wrote letters for permission to several movie companies (Disney, Universal, Warner Brothers, 20th Fox, Columbia/Tristar, MGM & Paramount) to get permission (for a 30 second or less clip) for a work which was only to be played A. at home and B. for family:

Defintely read through the letters from the studios, they're fun and slightly insightful as to who might be more receptive to your goals.
