Well its been about two months since my last update on
the Some Assembly Required blog/podcast. We've had
some interesting features and some great interviews.
If you haven't been checking, here's what's been
uploaded in the past two months...

*Today! I just uploaded episode 83 - featuring an
interview with visual collage artist Omer Fast. This
is the only interview he's ever granted. This episode
is also special because Fast sent the soundtrack to
his video collage composition, "CNN Concatenated" and
authorized its airing on the show, in its entirety. I
originally saw this at the Soap Factory with Mark
Gunderson, when he was here in the Twin Cities, and I
know he'll agree with me when I say you HAVE to check
this out!

*June 12 - episode 85 features a phone interview with
Turntablist/visual assemblage artist, Christian
Marclay.

May 14 - when Mark Hosler was in town, we did a live
interview at Radio K, talking about Negativland and
their visual art exhibition "Negativlandland" which
opened here at Creative Electric Studios in May. The
live interview was recorded and used as that week's
podcast.

At the BLOG - we have featured the following artists
recently: Negativland, Girl Talk, V/VM, DJ BC,
Christian Marclay, Idiom Creak and Omer Fast.

The Some Assembly Required website has been updated
recently (thanks to stAllio!) and re-designed, so I'll
be much more on top of updates from now on - including
the always growing LINKS page. Be sure to check it
out, at:
www.some-assembly-required.net
where the blog is linked to from the new menu, or you
can go to:
www.some-assembly-required.net/blog
where you can read the weekly artist feature and
download each week's podcast.

In other news - the Escape Mechanism website has also
been redesigned and a brand new video between myself
(Escape Mechanism) and RRoom has recently been
uploaded at the Video Page.
Check it out...

Thanks for listening,
Jon Nelson
