     You might want to contact the nice folks at 
Found Magazine ( www.foundmagazine.com ), who put 
out rather large books of all sorts of finds that 
people send them: old notes and letters, 
photographs, all sorts of things.  Better still, 
they're touring their show of found objects to the LA area soon:
