uhmmm... I would love to do that but I don't think I would have enough
time for it... not all by myself (plus my HTML skills are not so
exciting...). I fear I have already too many incomplete projects out
there :/ but maybe more people could save detritus together if no one
alone can afford to do that...?
...I am also forwarding it to a friend of mine (who's not on the Rumori
list) ...he makes great websites and maybe he could be interested (yes
he knows detritus and is interested in some of the related themes).
two (stupid?) questions:
1) you mention keeping the domain; what about bandwidth? Is it very
expensive (no idea on the traffic detritus may have but I suspect it is
quite high with stuff like The Mystery Tapes and all that other
interesting content from different sources...). Would this person have
to care about that (also, no idea if for example the site gets enough
paypal donations to cover it)?
2) would you accept stuff like Google AdSense or those self-optimising
Amazon links throughout the site? (I suspect you might not since the
site has always supported parody ads and including real advertising
might be something not friendly to many detrivores...)
And btw no, I don't mean dozens of banners and no real content, but for
example one/two Google links and/or one Amazon product per page.

(aww, too bad, I thought it was a cool name for a porn site) ;))))
