steev: i'd love to help out, though depending on what the detritus
userbase expects (or demands), i might not have the skills to do it
alone.  

i know html and css, so i could do a redesign and some development (as
well as posting content... i'm already a "member" of the detritus blog,
though i stopped posting after it seemed nobody else was posting), but
i don't have much experience working with databases, application
development, system administration, webmaster-type stuff, etc.  i guess
i'm more a blogger/designer than anything else.  but that's better than nothing!
