[Rumori] Some Assembly Required / Dinosaur Gardens

     Hey Rumorites -- The Evolution Control Committee here with a 
couple nuggets of interest:

     First, I checked in recently to Some Assembly Required ( 
http://www.some-assembly-required.net/ ) and was floored -- they've 
interviewed damn near everyone!  Negativland, Steinski, Tape-Beatles, 
People Like Us, Us (The ECC), John Oswald, Jason Forrest / Donna 
Summer, The Bran Flakes, Osymyso.... it's a cavalcade of cut-n-paste, 
all there.  Most (?) are downloadable now as podcast archives; 
there's also an extensive Q&A blog with many artists.  I think 
Rumorites will find it of interest.

     Second, those seeking great/unique/interesting sample source 
material might appreciate Dinosaur Gardens ( 
http://www.dinosaurgardens.com/ ).  All posts include multiple 
full-length source tracks.  I've become a regular poster there, and 
my last two posts are of a sales 45 accompanying a slide pitch on 
John Deere's Manure Handling Equipment and the sources for The ECC's 
track "Don't Miss The Great Snatch" from a religious album of the 
same name.  Sneak Preview: In one week, I'll start a six-part (I 
think) post of 8-track pornos.  No, not video, not movie soundtracks 
-- straight-to-eight-track pornos, all fully & freely 
downloadable.  Much more from The ECC's archive forthcoming!

     Last plug: Anyone near Vegas, check it out... ECC is playing in
